Joining our Board

The Islands Trust Conservancy Board is made up of two elected trustees from Trust Council, one trustee from Trust Council's Executive Committee, and up to three members of the public appointed by the Minister of Municipal Affairs. Appointed members serve terms of between one and three years. The Islands Trust Conservancy Board governs the activities of the organization, making final decisions regarding conservation proposals, major projects and financial management.

When Board vacancies arise, the Islands Trust Conservancy Board actively recruits new candidates for recommendation to the Minister. If you are interested in providing leadership to the land conservation sector in the islands, please let us know. We look for qualified candidates with fundraising, property law or risk management experience or with extensive knowledge of the biology and ecology of the Salish Sea islands.
